You should print out the pictures of your favorite dresses and bring them to the store with you. Please do not bring only style numbers as this will increase wait times in the fitting rooms.
Let's face it, no one is the perfect model size. That means prom dress alterations which may be time consuming are a necessary part of purchasing any prom dress if you want it to look perfect on you Trains: If your dress has a small train, we suggest having your seamstress put a bustle on it. This involves sewing a handmade hook and eye to the back of the prom dress so that the dress can be brought up to floor length for dancing. To do this, lift the train to where it should be fastened to become floor length. Sew a small fancy pearl or crystallized button onto the back of the dress to this area (around the calves). Next you sew a loop of thread where the train needs to be brought up. Loop the threads around the button and viola! A dress made for dancing.
Tip for promers: Wear your shoes around the house to break them in before the big dance. If you don't wear heels very often, practice will definately help to prevent any embarrassing falls during prom. New heels should always be worn in enough to cause the bottom front to get scuffed. Unscuffed bottom's can be very slippery.
Bling, bling, bling… After all diamonds are a girl's best friend. Marilyn Monroe would not be the only person to object to bobbles being a girl’s best friend. It’s hard to believe that these precious stones over the decades have represented more than just a sparkly affair. Certain jewelry stones were once believed to keep evil away from a child who was properly protected by wearing certain gem stones. Others found planetary attractions by using precious gem stones to align Zodiac concurrences. Although, jewelry has evolved, it has always remained a girl’s best friend and it is always fun to pick out to match your prom dress. Who can resist the sparkly stones this prom season has to offer.
