Retro-vintage inspired dresses have been creeping back into style recently. With all the great 1950s Looks on TV shows Mad Men and Pan Am, it’s no surprise that prom dress designers are going vintage with their dresses too. But prom dress designers are going back a little further than the 50’s and instead making 1920s flapper inspire dresses for prom 2013! Flapper dresses feature straight loose silhouettes often with dropped waistlines or no waistlines. These dresses were often adorned with fringe and beading that swung around when a girl danced.
