You should print out the pictures of your favorite dresses and bring them to the store with you.  Please do not bring only style numbers as this will increase wait times in the fitting rooms.

It is really important to think of makeup looks as part your prom ensemble. When you have selected the perfect dress, all the pieces of hair and make-up will fall into place.  Here are a few pointers on how to embrace the hot trends and the do's and dont's of Prom makeup.  "The glamorous look" is where all focus goes on the eyes...To get the best glamorous eyes, use complementary colors, matte and shimmer eye shadows, lots of mascara and soft pink lips (Madonna and her latest look). "The sexy diva" is defined by the high gloss lips, a skin lightly sun kissed and matte eye shadows, think Beyonce and JLo.

Remember the longer the skirt, the higher the heel. Some shoes can be dyed to match however, most promers will opt for a prom shoe that matches the prom dress, prom gloves, prom jewelry, prom handbags or even prom garters and can be worn again. Silver, white, tan and black will be the favorite colors adorned with rhinestones and metal laces.

Let's face it, no one is the perfect model size. That means prom dress alterations which may be time consuming are a necessary part of purchasing any prom dress if you want it to look perfect on you  Adding Length: Although our dresses usually fit 5'8" people, taller girls may want to consider doing the following: Make the dress a high/low hem line. High low hems are just as popular as floor length dresses. A high/low hem is short in the front (9" or more off the floor), low in the back (as the dress normally fits). Another option is Wearing flats. All of the models shown in our photo's are between 5'8 and 5'10" tall. They also are wearing heels. So perhaps the dress will fit properly if you wore flats. Ordering a shawl and adding it to the bottom of the dress is also a great option.
