• I am giving Peaches four stars
  I am giving Peaches four stars, qualified by the fact that we had to place a special order and so we do not have our product yet. Assuming that all goes well, this was a worthwhile and interesting shopping experience!! We traveled from out of state specifically to go to Peaches and a few small boutiques for a bat mitzvah dress for my daughter. We did not want a lot of Glitz and a little modesty was a must, plus my daughter is still firmly in children's clothing so I was a bit skeptical of what we'd find in general. While the other stores took appointments in advance and had luxurious seating and beverages for the families while you waited (which made them seem a bit more polished and high-end), they simply did not have as many dresses and array of sizes as Peaches. Peaches simply has more volume, which ended up serving our family incredibly well. I would venture to say that despite all the weird rules, we actually got as good of customer service at Peaches as we did at the boutiques-- the packaging was just a little different. There are a lot of rules and it is an extremely fast pace, but our consultant really understood what dd was looking for and helped her quite a lot. She found " the one" almost right away. The only reason that I am not giving all five stars is because we had a little misunderstanding at the end. My daughter will still grow before our event and we live out of town. Beause of this, I asked about placing the order on Peaches' own website in a few months. A manager was brought over to speak with me and repeatedly told me how the website is a different entity, basically implying that they don't get the money and we had wasted their time. They quickly began shutting our appointment down, bringing in the next girl. It felt pretty high pressure ( when I just was inquiring about the possibilities). I actually ended up buying the dress right then. Because they had shut the appointment down, however, we missed a key part of the experience. I guess they take you over to their accessory area to "jack you up" when you are in the dress. They ironically probably could have had us for shoes and accessories if they had not been so fast to cut down the appointment. ..... But the bottom line is that the consultant was sweet and knowledgeable. They had what we needed when the more exclusive stores did not. When we got home our daughter proudly donned her free shirt proclaiming she got her dress. If you are looking for Sacks or Neiman treatment, this place may not be for you. If you want a great dress and a great assortment to choose from ( and don't mind the peaches process), it is well worth it to travel for this experience!!!!
